How to Set Up Your Verde Haus Plant Monitor
Follow these steps to get your Plant Monitor connected and reading your plant's needs.
Activate your sensor
Open the back cover of your Plant Monitor and pull out the small plastic tab inside the battery compartment. The sensor won't turn on until it's removed. Pop the cover back on once it's out.
Download the app
Search "Flower Care" by HHCC in the App Store or Google Play and download it. Make sure you've got the right one — it should look like the screenshot below.
Create your account
Open the app and create an account with your email address.
Insert into soil
Push your Plant Monitor into the soil so at least two-thirds of the lower probe (the moisture sensor section) is buried. If the soil is very dry, water it first, then insert.
Connect via Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then tap the + in the top corner of the app and follow the prompts to add your Plant Monitor. The app will show it on screen once it's connected.
Choose your plant
Select your plant from the app's plant library so it can give you readings tailored to that specific species.
A note for Samsung users
The Confirm/Complete button sits right at the bottom of the screen. If your phone's on-screen navigation bar (home, back, recent apps) is turned on, it can sit over that button and stop you from tapping it. Switch to swipe gestures instead — Settings → Display → Navigation bar → Swipe gestures — then try again.
A few care tips
- ✓ Keep the light sensor surface clean and free from obstructions.
- ✓ Never submerge the sensor above the moisture-probe markings in water.
